Dr. Tsz-Chiu Au

Dr. Au's research aims to investigate the foundations of multiagent systems, specifically multirobot systems. His recent works focus on fully autonomous ground and aerial vehicles, intelligent transportation systems, service robots, and robotic systems for logistics. He is an associate editor of IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
Research Interests: Multiagent systems, multirobot systems, task and motion planning, and intelligent transportation systems.
Dr. Veronica Perez-Rosas

Prior to joining Texas State University, Dr. Perez-Rosas was an assistant research scientist in the Computer Science and Engineering Division at the University of Michigan. Her research lies in the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing (NLP), and healthcare. Her research work has been published in top venues across natural language processing, computational linguistics, multimodal interaction, and affective computing. Her research has been recognized with support from the NSF and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Research Interests: Natural language processing, computational linguistics, machine learning, multimodal analysis, affective computing, crowdsourcing, conversational analysis NLP for health applications, and large language models.
Dr. Isayas Berhe Adhanom

Before joining Texas State University, Dr. Adhanom was a President's Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on enhancing Extended Reality systems, such as Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), by addressing the technical and perceptual challenges that hinder usability. His work broadly draws from the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, AI, and Cognitive Neuroscience.
Research Interests: Virtual reality, augmented reality, human-computer interaction, and applied machine learning.
Dr. Shibbir Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed specializes in Software Engineering, AI, and Data Science, focusing on trustworthy AI systems. His NSF-supported research has been published in top-tier venues, ICSE, FSE, EMSE, TDS. He has received multiple awards, including the Research and Teaching Excellence Award, and reviews for top venues like ASE, ICSE and EMSE.
Research Interests: Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
Dr. Xiaomin Li

Dr. Li has done research in time-series data analysis using machine learning methods and efficient AI systems. She has taught in Department of Computer Science at Texas State University as a full-time lecturer, responsible for teaching three to four undergraduate and master’s courses each semester. Her research interests include AI and machine learning.
Dr. Alberto Castro-Hernandez

Dr. Castro-Hernandez has done research in natural language processing and global software development. Previously, he has taught as an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Computer Science Department at Wayne State University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Ghadeer Alabandi

Dr. Alabandi has done research in optimizing and parallelizing a variety of graph algorithms. Her work leverages advanced techniques in both GPU and multi-CPU systems to achieve significant performance improvements. Dr. Alabandi has taught computer science courses as a doctoral teaching assistant at Texas State University.
Dr. Ghazanfar Ali
