Dr. Anne Hee Hiong Ngu Named University Distinguished Professor

The Department of Computer Science is proud to announce that Dr. Anne Hee Hiong Ngu has been named a 2026 University Distinguished Professor at Texas State University.
 
The University Distinguished Professor title is one of the highest honors awarded to faculty at Texas State. It recognizes individuals whose accomplishments in teaching, research, and service have demonstrated sustained excellence and earned recognition at the state, national, and international levels.
 
Dr. Ngu is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and has made significant contributions through her research, teaching, and service to the university and broader academic community. Her work reflects the highest standards of scholarly achievement and exemplifies Texas State’s commitment to academic excellence.
 
As a University Distinguished Professor, Dr. Ngu will retain this title for the duration of her service at Texas State University. She will also receive a one time $5,000 award, a commemorative medallion, and formal recognition during the university’s annual faculty awards ceremony this fall. In addition, her portfolio will be submitted for consideration for the Regents’ Professor Award by the Texas State University System Board of Regents.
