Periodically, the Department of Computer Science will be in need of graduate students to fulfill the role of Graduate Instructional Assistant (GIA). This is a three-semester job ONLY. These graduate students will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assisting the PhD students who are in charge of teaching the CS1428 (Fundamentals of Computer Science I) lab sections, or even teaching said lab sections.
- Tutoring for CS1428 and CS2308. Other subjects may be assigned (data structures, etc.) depending on the applicant's level of expertise.
- Lab monitor, which is to say watching over the operation of one or more of our open use computer labs, including assisting patrons, reporting broken equipment, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
All applicants MUST satisfy ALL of the following requirements:
- Masters students only.
- Must have been enrolled for at least one long semester (Fall, Spring, or BOTH summer terms).
- Must have a minimum 3.6 GPA
- Must have passed the programming exam.
- Must have more than one semester left. Applicants that graduate at the end of Fall 2025 are ineligible.
- Must have no disciplinary actions filed against them (academic dishonesty, etc.)
- Must be ON CAMPUS to check in for work on January 5th, NO EXCEPTIONS. Those who are not available for on-campus checkin will be replaced.
