Want to Work for Computer Science?
Periodically, the Department of Computer Science will be in need of undergraduate students to fulfill the role of Undergraduate Instructional Assistant (UGIA). These positions are open to Computer Science majors only. UGIAs can earn up to 25 hours per week, depending on availability and need. These students will be responsible for the following duties:
- Monitoring open-use labs - This means ensuring all lab users are greeted, labs are not left in a state of disarray, and all systems are functioning.
- Tutoring - Only students who have completed and passed CS1428 will have the option of tutoring. Those who have not will only be considered for monitoring duties.
- 3D-Print Lab - Some students will asked to assist and monitor in the Computer Science Department's 3D printing lab. These students will learn 3D printer maintenance, how to 3D print, and will be tasked with helping other CS majors use the lab.
