Human-Centered Computing (HCC) emphasizes the design and evaluation of computing technologies with a focus on human needs, behaviors, and experiences. This interdisciplinary area combines elements of computer science, psychology, design, and social sciences, including human-computer interaction (HCI), studying how people interact with computers and designing technologies that improve this interaction; computer graphics and visualization; extended reality (Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality), developing immersive environments for a variety of applications; and multimedia, working with various forms of media, including text, audio, and video. Research in HCC aims to improve usability and user satisfaction with technology.
